WHO WE ARE
Our desire at the Concern Home Social and Charitable Initiative is born out of a place of burden to promote the change we desire to see in our society. We are focused on promoting the Social Work Profession, Social Justice, Social Welfare, and Social Development in a world riddled with ever-increasing Social Problems – ranging from family disintegration, mental illness, suicide, drugs and substance abuse, child sexual abuse, and other forms of exploitation, trafficking in persons – especially women, girls, and children, poverty to all forms of social vices. Undoubtedly, the falling standards of our social institutions are a major contributor to these problems, however, placing the blame on failing social institutions does not fix the problems. At The Concern Home, we dare to break the status quo, and taken a stand to not just be part of the solution, but also promote the change we desire through coordinated professional interventions for sustainable development.

Our Vision
The Concern Home envisions a holistic approach to social problems, engaging all social work tools to advance the course of service to humanity in a world of ever-increasing social issues; with social workers as first responders in social service delivery and facilitators of access to coordinated professional services; ultimately promoting the change we desire for sustainable development.
To raise society’s consciousness of the ever-increasing social problems – existing and emerging; Empowering individuals, families, and communities to achieve mental and holistic well-being, social justice, and human rights through comprehensive social work services; liaise with key social institutions and stakeholders to advance our society for social impact and sustainable development.
Rehabilitation, Reformation, Vocational Skill Acquisition
Empowering an individual to not only become self-dependent but also become economically self-dependent is the focus of all casework intervention for service users who do not have any source of income.
School/Community Outreaches
Our goal is to raise awareness on major social problems pupils are faced with in schools as well as other social issues prevalent at the community level.
Child Protection
We are on a mission to safeguarding children from all forms of violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, exploitation as well as neglect.
Family Life Advocacy/Capacity Building
The focus here is on family stability through capacity building, educating and empowering families, promoting skills for parenting current generation without compromising.
Mental and Holistic Health Awareness
